MOSCOW, Jul 3 (PRIME) -- The Kremlin has no right to interfere in investigation of case of car seller Rolf, but President Vladimir Putin receives information on it, spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.
“As far as I know, he received information, but not in detail. Naturally, the president cannot, let’s say, keep track of all the details of one particular investigation. Investigative actions are underway. There is nothing more to say, we in no way have any right or authority to interfere in them. Naturally, he is aware of the fact of this case,” Peskov said.
On June 27, the Investigative Committee launched a criminal case against Rolf founder Sergei Petrov and several top managers of the company over withdrawal of money abroad using forged documents. Investigators think that Petrov withdrew 4 billion rubles from the company through selling shares of Rolf Estate company to Rolf at an overblown price.
